***The Books will be playing the Eyedrum gallery on September 22nd, 2009 at 9pm. The show is all ages and tickets can be purchased online through Ticket Alternative as well as in store at Decatur CD and Fantasyland Records. The Eyedrum "is a non-profit organization developing an interdisciplinary approach to the arts by incorporating a wide range of contemporary art, music and new media in its gallery space." As with many businesses and public institutions in this economy, the gallery has recently hit some hard times. Eyedrum will be holding a benefit auction on August 14th, 2009 from 7pm-10pm.
